ChatChat (Co-Founders Version) Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This is really a role-play case, intended to be utilized in a leadership development class for the MBA students. The case has four distinct parts: two for students playing with the co-founders two for students and of a startup /trainers playing the venture capitalists determining whether or not to supply seed funds. You will identify two variations of the case, one for pupils playing the co-founders (L-25CF), plus one for those playing the venture capitalists (L-25VC).

While both variants of the case feature indistinguishable background information for the role-play, L-25CF includes additional advice that's available exclusively to the cofounders and L-25VC contains additional information that's available only to the venture capitalists. The role-play objectives stated in the case might be accomplished in case the pupils playing with the cofounders successfully recognize and address the questions and concerns of those playing the venture capitalists.

The co founders understand and must solicit the underlining issues of the venture capitalists, decide just how to react and address those concerns, and assure the venture capitalists that a seed investment is worthwhile. All pupils get the chance to demonstrate active listening, query, and comments concerning the concerns and suggestions to address them.
