Case describes two alternative elective course assignment procedures: lottery system, Harvard Business School and the Kellogg Graduate School of trading on the basis of a management system. The case was designed to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each system and the desirability (or lack thereof), depending on the context (broader business system), in which they operate. The case also describes the project is used to assign a new NBA team players.
