SWOT Analysis

SWOT analysis is basically an analysis of four elements;strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat. The idea of doing SWOT analysis for any company is that it clarifies the company’s internal and external position. However, there are some other techniques such as Porter’s five forces etc. but SWOT gives more precise and easily understandable result of any company’s internal and external position. Internal factors include Strengths and Weaknesses while external factors include Opportunity and Threats. Strengths and Weakness are controllable and only held by the company therefore, they come in internal factors. On the other hand, opportunities and threats are uncontrollable and are not a part of the company which is why they are counted as external factors. Finally, from the discussed factors it can be concluded that SWOT analysis is more than just lines as it provides brief and accurate results for any company.(Tools, 2016)
