Abstract:

The case uses a role-play simulation in which a group of up to 13 individuals acts as a board of directors of a privately-owned nationwide energy business. It consists of 3 types of directors - associated directors representing the mom business, executive directors, and independent directors.

- To knowledge the characteristics of a board of administrators - To comprehend the systemic nature of boards and board-management communication - To discover multi-lens and cross-functional methods to choice making - To discover how to team up with individuals with various backgrounds and programs - To practice the functions of an efficient director: specialist, schemer, group gamer, coach, owner, facilitator - To evaluate the individual inspiration and ability needed to end up being a reliable board member
