Trinity College (A) Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Trinity College was a luxury, private, liberal arts college of about 1,800 students located in Hartford, Connecticut. When Tom Gerety was chosen as the seventeenth president of Trinity in 1989, he promised to remain for ten years. Now, less than five years on the job, Gerety has announced that he will step down to become president in Amherst. For Alfred Koeppel, Chairman of Trustees of the Trinity, Gerety decision could not have come at a worse time. The college was to announce $ 100 million capital campaign. His number two position, Dean, was vacant, and the initiative of the Trinity, to rebuild their city neighborhood just begun.
