The HBT Merger China Role Version Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

The HBT Merger China Role Version Case Solution

This is a role-play case, planned for usage in a management advancement course for MBA trainees. The case has 4 functions, 2 each for trainees playing U.S.- and China-based supervisors. There are 2 variations of the case, one for trainees playing the role of U.S.-based supervisors (L-22US), and one for trainees using the role of China-based supervisors (L-22CHN). Each version has a set of typical realities, plus a set of truths understood just to that side.

The role-play goals specified in the event can just be effectively achieved if the gamers obtain details from the opposite, and collaborate to reach a contract.

Trainees need to reset post-merger expectations, attend to the various highlighting interests and get the merger strategy back on course. They have the chance to show active listening, query, and feedback concerning post-merger assumptions at HBT head office and at HBT Shanghai. Both sets of trainees will enter into the conference with differing goals and will have to handle the opposite's expectations and understandings in a way that might be assertive, collective, or both.
