Supergrid is a mammoth wind power development scheme for Europe, recently proposed by Airtricity. The firm, founded in 1997, is a rapidly growing power development company focused on the wind. Having already built about 600 MW of wind turbines in Scotland and Ireland, Airtricity has now expanded into the United States.
