SAGASCO Holdings Limited Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

SAGASCO Holdings Limited Case Solution

In the summer of 1993, Australia's Trade Practices Commission was contemplating whether to enjoin from acquiring SAGASCO Holdings Limited Santos Limited. This amalgamation was potentially of tremendous value, since Santos was the biggest and SAGASCO the third biggest onshore natural gas company in Australia. SAGASCO, which was fighting with the takeover, claimed the merger would reduce competition in the natural gas marketplace.

Santos countered the gas sector was highly focused and had constantly been disciplined by competition from other fuels. HKS Case Amount 1484.0
