Recruiting Faster: (A) Process Innovation at SDL Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This two-part case centres on an authorization given by Ganesh Purandare, head of financial services business unit at SDL, an emerging software development company, to Mohua Sen, head of the recruitment division, whereby he requests her to reduce recruitment times.

For SDL, each lateral hire is done against a billable chance. Hence, timely or early fulfillment is critical to ensuring project deliverables but also for addressing the immediate billability question.  Part A: the whole process timelines are examined by Mohua Sen and considers the feasibility of reducing recruiting times.

The principles of business process re-engineering are used to analyze the problem of process cycle time reduction. Students are asked to provide potential remedies.
