Research and Analysis

The research enables the company to determine that mobile device management solution is an important objective of the company which will enable the company to cope up with compiling network and security of the mobile devices. Furthermore, it is also found out that users of the enhanced mobile devices can use the devices effectively with the enhancement of features in the devices. In this research, we will discuss terms such as “work”, “deliverable”, “work package” etc.

As in WBS, they have specific definition. As per the PMOK, the work products and deliverables are the resultant efforts and they are not the efforts themselves. This means that the “work” defines as the result of the activity. The works remains unchanged even if the amount of efforts required to reach to that might deflate or inflate. Deliverables is any verifiable and unique result, product or capability for performing a service that becomes the requirement for completing a phase, project or a process. The deliverables can be different from project to project and also with the change in clients. Now the work package as per definition of PERT, is the amount of work that is required for completing a specific process or job such as a design, documentation or any report and there a need of any hardware or service in the process. Moreover, the simplified definition of work package is a deliverable at its lowest level of WBS.

Configuration

As not every breakdown of the project deliverables might be classified into a WBS. In order to consider that, there must be certain characteristics for work breakdown structure (WBS). First is Hierarchy, where the WBS’s nature is hierarchical in nature. Each small level that exists in a hierarchical way with strict relationship with the level of parent. In this by combining all the child or small elements build a parent element. Then is 100% rule, where the each level of decomposition should be taken up 100% to complete parent level. It must have minimum of two elements of child stage. After that, mutually exclusive is where all elements during a particular level of WBS should be mutually exclusive. The overlap must be avoided in their deliverable of the work. At last the outcome focused, the WBS must put great focus on the results of the work such as deliverables.

Distribution

While there are three things that are often described as same thing, what is there to be achieved in the end of the project, they vary greatly in terms of details and scope.

The “work breakdown structure” defines the deliverables that are needed to complete the underlying project, such as the “what” question of the project. Moreover, it does not comprise resources or the timelines. The WBS’s goal is to provide the team of the project a hyper-focused idea for the purpose that what they need to achieve........
