Dunkin Donuts needs to focus on its current customers and improve its customer baseline. After that, they should move for expansion.Dunkin Donuts needs to change its market positioning in India. Instead of concentrating on the breakfast market, they need to introduce and focus on the bakery products to capture the market.Indians are more attractive to spicy foods. They should introduce Dunkin dosa and Dunkin idli type food and should concentrate on their traditional foods to attract and improve the customer baseline.

Reasons forTescoFailure in the United States:

The inability of the anthropologists to understand the American culture regarding their average spending was one of the factors why Tesco failed to expand in the US. Similarly, some other reasons included small-sized stores i.e. 1/5th of the retail stores in America, expansion in highly influenced areas by recession despite higher spending, and their inbound locations. The other reason involved the sale of ready to cook food cellophane for daily-basis whereas Americans used to shop on weekly-basis and prefer to cook food on their own.

Recommendation:

Based on the determination of key failure reasons, Tesco is recommended to expand its stores in outbound locations, expand the size of the stores other than West regions and less populated areas which might decrease the sale, and offer products with the perception of weekly grocery shopping rather than placing pieces of fruits and vegetables. Similarly, Tesco should limit the sales of ready-to-cook food packed in cellophane which grew concerned over their safety......................................
