Garr Reynolds and Nancy Duarte help world-famous executives, politicians and thought leaders deliver presentations that are stronger. In a talk with MIT Sloan Management Review, they believe not how to make presentations that are better - that is handled by their books -but the way to become a better supervisor by keeping opinion more like a designer.
They assert that designers and managers have to do many of the same things: embrace restraints, take risks, question everything and make sure that tools don't get in the way of ideas. And they reveal how design concepts like harmony and hierarchy, balance, contrast, clear space are equally as important to managers as they truly are to designers.
