General Scanning, Inc was founded by Jean and Pierre Montague Brosens, two MIT engineers interested in developing innovative products based on early application of lasers. They invented their own technology for laser beam positioning and scanning products. General scan was organized shop engineering and production work - that is, they are built to order customized products.
