Diversity Goals: Reframing the Debate and Enabling a Fair Evaluation Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

While diversity enjoys considerable popularity in the corporate world for the past two decades, researchers continue to put forward conflicting results regarding the business benefits of workplace diversity. Some say that workplace diversity is good for business, while others claim that the plant is full of problems, and while others argue that it's not a big deal. With this in mind, we have attempted to summarize a study that evaluates the impact of workplace diversity in the organizational bottom line. We believe that over-emphasis on the demonstration of business diversity in economic denominations that, to some extent, limit our understanding of the complex dynamics related to diversity. We have identified the lack of attention to institutional forces as one of the reasons that has restricted our attention to the simple economic benefits. In general, we recommend the expansion of our definition of the goals of organizations in making a variety of initiatives, including "strengthening the legitimacy," and "the creation of good will" in the significant impact a variety of programs.
