Decisions about what types of jobs and clients are important priority for the strategic development of successful high-tech business services firms (KIBS-firms). Two important considerations that should be addressed the following issues: the extent to which customers are willing to be an effective co-producers of value and opportunities for the development of knowledge available in the client's share of the production process. Based on experience and a few empirical studies, defines the characteristics of jobs and clients that are positively associated with the development of knowledge.
