Ambrose & Bisaro Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

In February 2009,the human resources associate at the Toronto office of advertising agency Ambrose & Bisaro (A&B) had just finished interviewing a candidate for one of eight summer internship positions. As many, A&B expected a larger amount of qualified applicants for these places, particularly remarkable in 2009 because of the economical decline of their direct opponents had scaled back their internship plans. Throughout the interview, the human resources associate was impressed by the candidate with their conduct, enthusiasm and extra-curricular activities; however, the nominee had no previous marketing expertise.

At the end of the interview the candidate revealed she had procured interviews at five advertising agencies that were competing and had three firm offers. Somewhat taken aback, the human resources associate understood she had to make a very fast selection: expand an offer to the nominee, or wait and interview the remaining applicants and risk losing this one?
