In 2002 Wendy Lane was a member of the board of directors of Tyco International just over a year, when the CEO, Dennis Kozlowski and other top managers were accused of fraud, which ultimately led to the dismissal, imprisonment, lawsuits, and the Commission on securities. In a short period of time Tyco lost two-thirds of its market value. Many people outside the company questioned the leadership board and diligence.
