The assistant coach of Toronto Maple Leafs (leaves), just saw the team lose. To increase your chances of winning, they added a sixth offensive skater on the ice, sending their goalkeeper on the bench (known as "pull goalie") in the last 60 seconds of the game. Doing this did not give the team an advantage. In fact, a member of the opposing team had the opportunity to shoot the puck into the unguarded net, which cost Leafs game. Assistant coach questioned whether the practice of pulling the goalie was good. He also heard that the models have been used to study the strategies of the sport.
