Project Execution Dilemma at MICC Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

National Institute of Management assigned a project of refurbishing to Mid-India Construction Private Company Limited (MICC) that had to be completed within eight months and had allocated with a budget of INR 30 million.

The first monthly review meeting for the project disclosed a number of issues for the project manager, including the slower execution pace of work and ineffective allocation of resources on the site that required the allocation of more resources.

The project manager had to find the ways that could bring the project to fast-track and demanded to pay more attention for the availability and better utilization of resources. MICC endeavored to find the possible alternatives to expedite this slow pace by observing the project site and work within the financial and operational boundaries.
