Jazztel Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

24.9% of Jazztel, almost €90 million, was purchased by Fernandez Pujals, founder of Telepizza, when the Jazztel, a telecom company, was just going to bankrupt and needed a significant capital to finish the year. Telepizza was an international home delivery pizza business and this unrelated diversification did not bend the Telepizza from its core business.

Throughout the following ten years, restructuring of Jazztel’s debt was led by Fernandez Pujals, the company also reached to an agreement with Telefonica, set up internal call centers, and expedite as broadband operator in Spain. This case determines the potential model used by Fernandez Pujals to strengthen the board and to push the company towards a leading position.
