Invention projects are more and more organized by firms within innovation ecosystems. This study exemplifies the primary function of the IP-version that an orchestrator develops for the innovation ecosystem partners. The governing of IP is instrumental for the success of innovation ecosystems as it discovers the worth appropriation possibility for the ecosystem partners and positively impacts the success of innovation ecosystems.
This approach is based on the case study of IMEC, a public research institute in nano-electronic equipment. IMEC has an IP-based orchestration version for invention ecosystems through multi-party research cooperation between private and public businesses.
