The business is investigating the issues that will have to be dealt with to be able to produce an integrated report in planning for its integrated report for 2011. KPMG is the auditor for both the financial and nonfinancial information found in the report that is integrated of the company, but independent assurance viewpoints cover these.
One of the challenge of supplying an integrated audit is getting control systems and the internal measurement for nonfinancial information to be of precisely the same quality as for fiscal information. A further challenge is the fact that the cultures of people who work in sustainability and the finance function are very dissimilar.
