When disinfection byproducts are created during the process of distillation, these are one of the pollutants found in this type of water.
As part of this case study, we will be looking at the specifics of the storm water in the harbor. The water begins to flow into a channel that is going to run through the middle of the harbor. The channel is set up to allow the water to flow through but to also allow the river channels to be able to flow through.
Another way that we will be able to get our eyes on the storm water, is that when the rain water begins to flow into the channel, the channel will stop. This is so that the channel does not become blocked. What we find is that much of the storm water begins to wash into the channel with debris from a nearby highway.
This river is known as the Kohala River and is only six feet wide at its widest point. The result is that when the storm water begins to flow, it picks up a lot of dirt and debris that is washed onto the roadway from the storm water.
