In the year 2011, HCLT ERS, a department of HCL Technologies, a universal IT services corporation headquartered in New Delhi, India, had to formulate next year's plan for the Engineering Out Of The Box (EOOTB) company concept that it had originated in 2009, which transformed the department's ability to create "16 productized solutions" and to employ new and old customers in new sales services.

The productized alternatives were greatly reliant upon IT platform-based solutions and services. The EVP, International Sales, Engineering and Research Services (ERS), HCL Technologies, as well as the EOOTB team must think about the potential user experiences that ERS could gain from EOOTB in combination with its customers and its ecosystems (partners, collaborators, third party providers).
