This case has two aspects. First, it supplies a tutorial on the fundamental notions related to clear-cut time-value-of-money scenarios. Second, this case provides several simple vignettes in which they can use the foregoing time value of money insights and techniques to pupils.
The case can be effectively used in nondegree and degree programs, and it requires no additional reading materials. It's nicely suited for one 90-minute class period, and all or selected subsets of the vignettes included in it might be delegated. A Teaching Note is available to registered faculty.
