Can Mexico Make Democracy Work? Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Enrique Pena Nieto, who was the presidential candidate for the old Mexicon ruling party that was elected in the year 2012, passed most essential reforms in at least preceding two decades.  They inculcated allowing private competition in the energy sector, comprising the state-owned oil company, Pemex; strengthening competition in the telecoms industry; promoting private-bank and public development-bank lending.

Also, political reforms let reelection (formerly prohibited) to all legislative places, and gave essential regulatory agencies autonomy from executive.  Will there be any reforms that can be implemented on the floor? Would they achieve great increase for more jobs and better income distribution? Would they finally make democracy work that is Mexican, or partially restore the hegemony of the old ruling party?
