Apogee Health Care Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case centers on the settlement system for a primary care physicians group at a large physician-hospital organization (PHO). Apogee consisted of a varied group of practices and was in the process of altering a settlement system that it had developed and implemented one year earlier in a mostly fee-for- service environment.

The doctor leaders must determine just how to alter the system, given that a major payer, representing about 30% of its revenue, was changing from fee for service to capitation.
