Nike produced a web website called WE to support its staff members in doing social work. This involved untangling being efforts, linking to pertinent websites, and developing a brand-new website and removing confusion around duty for various efforts. This job was made complex by the truth that Nike needed to contend with lots of websites and locations, sort of staff members (per hour vs. employed) and varying mindsets to offering. The website had 4 locations- say, offer time, provide loan, and offer skill-- to allow workers to maintain their neighborhoods and neighborhoods poor in various methods.

Social work had a long history of success at NIKE. Typically, workers did not even see their work as "offering"-- they seemed like they were doing exactly what they liked and making a distinction to individuals around them. Regardless of this interest, business assistance for volunteerism was exceptionally fragmented; individuals who wished to get included did not constantly understand who to call for assistance. If a department wished to do a social work task instead of a vacation celebration, it was hard to discover somebody to support this effort. By linking to workers and devoting resources to their work, NIKE thought it might allow these people to grow their offering, both in regards to financial and time contributions.
