LAB International Inc. Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

LAB International (LAB) has two divisions, which have very different strategies. The research and development department has a constant need for funding and a high degree of risk, while the division of research contracts is cash generator and less risky. LAB is trying to raise additional capital, but believes that the company's shares are undervalued in the market. He sees a parallel one of the divisions to raise funds and to make each company more pure game and, therefore, to achieve a more appropriate market valuation.
