Elizabeth Parker has been the undersecretary for the environmental affairs and is given the charge of water divisions for seven months. Her operating period as the responsible individual for the given position has brought several changes within her division. Currently, she is concerned about the environmental standards department of the organization as the agency’s only other deputy director has resigned from his position.

Environmental Standards Division comprises of three departments out of which the department which is of the most importance to the agency is the Pollution Monitoring and Control Department. Parker believes that this department is of a critical and urgent nature. The department is responsible for the collection and gathering of data about the air and water quality throughout Delaware and monitoring data against standards.
