Codex Alimentarius and Food Labeling Case Solution

This case is about a UN body that deals with quality of food served worldwide as well as its food standards, called Codex Alimentarius. The intention behind the standards will be to harmonize global trade in agricultural commodities and food products, protect the well-being of consumers, and encourage fair trade practices in foods.
A subset of the work of the commission included establishing international food labeling standards. The contested issue in food tagging is the best way to treat them and coped with this issue of genetically modified ingredients.
