The tragedy of Walkerton, flash E.coli, which resulted in seven deaths and 2,300 people sick, was unprecedented in Canada. Physician health for Grey-Bruce reported that the number of people in Walkerton has developed a serious disease. E.coli was confirmed and the doctor suspected contaminated water as the source of the problem. However, the Public Utilities Commission had assured him that the water was fine. Nevertheless, he had a bad feeling that Walkerton was very brink of a serious outbreak.
