Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (Vancity) wanted to promote a productive and positive culture in the firm through enhanced work-life balance. As the first female CEO played a role model to her employees with strong work-life balanced. She put her efforts to the work but also conveyed the importance of interaction with the family that help to release the burden of overload work.
She possessed the thoughts that only successful managers and senior executive contribute to promote a culture with healthy work-life balance because it is one of the approach that make the employees successful too in their works.
A survey conducted in Vancity by an independent consultant concluded with a number of approaches for the CEO to implement to achieve her objective, and all of the recommendations aimed to improve the work-life balance for men that would ultimately enhance the work-life balance for each employee.
