TCAS Inc. Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

The case describes the foreign policy challenges facing the exchange, Mr. John Christopher, in the spring of 1995. Company Christopher, TCAS, just received a tender for the supply and installation of a new management information system software and network computer systems for customers in Canada. TCAS is an American company with no international experience. The company, as a result of premium rate, faced with very large foreign exchange risks. TCAS has additional problems, including operating losses in the past year, and the potential for further losses in the current year in the absence of the object of sale. TCAS should work on this contract, to manage its foreign exchange risk and the restructuring of its balance sheet.
