Microsoft on Trial Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

In July 1999, the Federal District Court Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson had to decide whether, as the U.S. Department of Justice, Microsoft illegally monopolized the supply of personal computer operating systems. Trial, originally expected to take two months from October 19, 1998, from the date went on for eight months, and generated two million pages of documentation. If he came to the conclusion that Microsoft had violated the Sherman Act as charged, Judge Jackson had to decide what action to remedy the situation, it has to be implemented.
