Taiwan, Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center has developed an integrated, team-care model of breast cancer care, which is now being extended to other types of cancer in 2009. Ten years ago, the president and chief executive officer Dr. Andrew Huang and the center worked with the Taiwan National Health Insurance system to create a payment-for-performance reimbursement program for the treatment of breast cancer, which has since been adopted by five other providers.
