This is considered as CEMEX adapt its flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs (Patrimonio Hoy) to the specific socio-economic realities of Puerto Rico - Fundacion Arte en Concreto (Foundation). The Fund is a partnership between several persons in the private, public and nonprofit sector. For CEMEX, general partner and founder of Arte en Concreto provided a way to promote concrete as an art form, while contributing to the economic and social development of Puerto Rico. Its purpose was to rehabilitate inmates through vocational training.
