Fogdog Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case is the growth and development of Fogdog, online sporting goods retailer, from its inception through several rounds of venture capital financing to the IPO and, ultimately, to the sale of the Global Sports - one of its public competitors. Fogdog story set in the late 1990s, when the Internet economy was practically exploding with new features. Built to make a new Internet environment, Fogdog encountered a number of issues specific to the unique economic situation around the company at the time. However, the company also faced a number of timeless questions that many growing companies experience, such as the composition of the board and development, the relationship between the company and its board, and the positions and responsibilities of both management and investors of the company when the company have tough decisions be done.
