Community Health Workers in Zambia: Incentive Design and Management Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

This case examines the various considerations related to the selection and compensation of employees in the context of where their work is related to pro-social component. This is true not only for health in Zambia, but also NGOs and public sector employees, who are both motivated by the mission of their positions and compensation. Zambia faces health crisis in human resources with less than half of health workers needed to meet health needs. However, he was saddled with both a high prevalence of diseases such as HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, malnutrition and respiratory and gastro-intestinal diseases.
