Blogs at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein: (A) Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

In May 2005, JP Rangaswami, CIO of the investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW), is wondering how to increase the use of blogs by the bank. Corporations are now increasingly using these tools to dispel news, views and knowledge and improve collaboration. In DrKW, already has more than 300 internal blogs and Rangaswamy now wants to encourage their domestic distribution. He must make a compelling case for the use of blogs, as well as making them easy to use. In addition, Rangaswamy wants the bank to external blogs for others to see on the Internet.
