In February 2004, the Director General of Mann Deshi Mahila Sahakari Bank did not appear at work for several days. His absence is followed by a meeting of staff of the bank, Chairman, Chetna Sinha, in which the tension between male and female staff on the air. General Manager was not the only male member of staff to show their displeasure. In January, for a long time male resigned, warning that all the male staff were going to come out as well. Chetna Sinha had to decide whether to call back the manager, or just let it go. If she let go of it, who would replace him? Chetna Sinha and the other women in the village received a license to conduct banking cooperation with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in February 1997, and six months later, founded the Mann Deshi Bank. The Bank is constantly growing, though not without problems, especially in filling the general manager position. In 2002, he was invited fellow Chetna Global Fellows Program at Yale, where she spent a year. In her absence, the bank passed RBI exam, and work with multiple problems.
