Open hostility connecting the two governments has lately spilled over into regional, national, and international forums. Despite this turmoil, the Iranian consumer is engaged in the worldwide market, purchasing goods from around the world. Our research highlights Iranian consumers' attitudes toward purchasing and importing foreign-made products, with a special focus on American.

Our 2006 survey of 902 Iranian consumers implies that Iranians are very open, but not completely so, to the purchase of foreign-made and American-made products.
